Home made Kefir recipe, probiotic drink

This is delicious home made, easy to digest probiotic drink. This is better than yogurt when it comes to digestion.

I like to keep it simple, and do not like to add too many things to it, and especially, I would advise against adding any fruit to yogurt to make drink as it does not digest well.

Best to have it with meal, but can be taken anytime, but not late at night.

Ingredients-

Plain yogurt, any kind, plant based or dairy

water

salt

cumin seed powder

Method-

take 1/4 cup yoguart

add 3/4 cup room temperature water

add 2-3 pinches of salt and cumin seed powder each

whisk well and enjoy

 

Other spices you can use are Chaat masala or jaljeera, available at Indian grocery stores. But the simple version is also delicious.

 

Can drink it when you are sick with diarrhea, as it has enough electrolytes and also probiotics, which help.
